Edmond Town Hall Theatre will host a free showing on April 22 of the documentary Woodstock: Now & Then. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion of experts being moderated by Newtown Bee Editor John Voket.
Advanced Master Gardener and accredited organic land care professional Michelle MacKinnon will be returning to Newtown to present a program hosted by The Town & Country Garden Club on April 13.

Ultimately, I’m pleased that the Borough Zoning Board chose to follow the zoning regulations and the law rather than give in to the pressure surrounding this project. The settlement also appears to address one of the more legitimate concerns by moving the homes substantially farther from the Rochambeau Trail while preserving additional open space.
I’m glad the Borough ultimately chose to follow its zoning regulations rather than allow the loudest voices in the room to dictate what a private property owner can legally do with their land. That’s how zoning is supposed to work — by the regulations, not by whoever can generate the most outrage with the most amount of clickbait.
