Steadfast Church Launching Sunday
Steadfast Church will launch on Sunday, September 21, at 9:30 am, in The Alexandria Room at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.
All are invited to be a part of opening day with a welcoming, family-oriented church committed to a relentless pursuit of Jesus, authentic community, and practical service to the people of Newtown.
Kyle and Lauren Collins are the lead pastors of the new church. Prior to launching Steadfast Church, the Collinses faithfully pastored in their local church for 13 years through various roles. Kyle and Lauren have enjoyed 15 years of marriage together and have four boys. Together, they have a deep passion to lead individuals and families toward a life changing and growing relationship with Jesus.
Over the last year, the Lord has solidified in their hearts His call to plant a church that is both grounded in the fullness of scripture as well as genuine community with other believers. As they have sought the Lord together for His will on the specific location to plant, He brought them back to their roots. Not only was Lauren born and raised in Newtown, but Kyle, being bi-vocational his entire ministry career, has worked full time in Newtown since 2012.
Sunday’s service will include uplifting worship, a brief message of hope, and opportunities to connect with others who desire to live out their faith together. Whether exploring church for the first time, returning after a while, or looking for a community to call home, there is a place for all at Steadfast Church.
The church has already planned its first outreach event. The Collinses and other members of Steadfast Church plan to be in the courtyard of Edmond Town Hall on October 31, handing out goodie bags and offering apple cider to the thousands of families expected for trick or treating that night.
