CACLD Tax Guide For Parents

EAST NORWALK — Parents of children with a disability are entitled to many income tax deductions as “medical expenses,” provided the expenses are made to alleviate their child’s mental or physical condition.

For a free, complete list of what is deductible, send a 27-cent stamped, self-addressed number 10 envelope to Connecticut Association for Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities (CACLD) Tax Guide, 25 Van Zant Street, Suite 15-5, East  Norwalk CT 06855.

CACLD is a regional, nonprofit organization that supports individuals, families and professionals by providing information, education and consultation while promoting public awareness and understanding.

CACLD’s goal is to ensure access to the resources needed to help children and adults with learning disabilities and attention deficits achieve their full potential.
