I am writing to express my support for my friend and colleague, Scott Cicciari, as he seeks re-election to the Newtown Board of Police Commissioners.

Scott has served as an Emergency Medical Technician for over 20 years , most recently at Newtown Volunteer Ambulance as Assistant Chief and is currently a Vice President at Synchrony Financial, with 15 years of project management experience. His background in emergency services and leadership brings valuable insight to public safety and organizational decision-making.

For the past 9 years, Scott has been a dedicated member of the Newtown Police Commission, working to improve public safety, support first responders, and strengthen community trust. His practical approach and understanding of town operations have been key to the Commission’s work.

The Commission’s duties — including officer appointments, policy oversight, and traffic authority responsibilities — require judgment, integrity, and commitment. Scott has consistently demonstrated all three.

Supported by his wife and their three children, Scott continues to serve Newtown with professionalism and care. I encourage residents to join me in voting for Scott for the Newtown Board of Police Commissioners.
