To The Editor:

I am writing to endorse Paul Lundquist, a longtime friend and one of the smartest individuals I know. I first met Paul when he was actively supporting the community following the Sandy Hook shooting through his volunteer work with Sandy Hook Promise. I admired Paul’s kindness and dedication to making a positive difference.

As Paul served on the Legislative Council, we both moved in similar social circles, where we frequently discussed pressing social issues and both national and local politics. I quickly developed respect for Paul’s nuanced and sensible approach, as well as his consistent willingness to stand up for the best interests of Newtown.

I have full confidence that Paul will be an excellent member of the Board of Selectmen. I will be voting for him on election day, and I hope you will consider doing the same.
