Parents Leave The Cooking

On Monday, November 5, all eighth grade families are asked not to cook dinner. Why? Because the Newtown Middle School PTA has organized a fundraiser with a local restaurant.

My Place Restaurant on Queen Street has offered to host a night to benefit the school’s Cultural Arts Programs so the children can continue to be enriched.

When families have dinner (take out or eat in) at My Place on November 5, between 4 and 8 pm, the restaurant will give the school a 15 percent return on all NMS checks during the four-hour span.

So support the Newtown Middle School Cultural Arts Program by eating food from My Place; just remember to tell the restaurant you are eating to support cultural arts at the middle school.
