Newtown High School's girls' swimming and diving team competes in the South-West Conference championships, with the diving competition held at Pomperaug High in Southbury on November 5 and the swimming events at Masuk High in Monroe on November 9.

For context...class of 2005 had 360 students, the number of graduating seniors seemed to cap out in the late 2000's in the low 400's.
