Through 17-plus games, Newtown High School’s field hockey team went unbeaten. Fourth-seeded New Milford needed overtime to get it done but gave the top-seeded Nighthawks their first taste of defeat.
The third time was the charm for the Newtown High School girls’ soccer team. After a pair of early-season meetings between the Nighthawks and Pomperaug of Southbury Panthers yielded a tie and Panther win, Newtown came through when it mattered most.
Newtown High School’s girls’ volleyball team dropped a hard-fought five-set match to host New Milford in the South-West Conference tournament quarterfinals on November 4.
The topic may be the same but the narratives every other week differ and I appreciate the installments. Rebuttals on factual content rather than focusing on form would improve the discourse.

For context...class of 2005 had 360 students, the number of graduating seniors seemed to cap out in the late 2000's in the low 400's.
